No Fines, No Penalties.

We are so confident that the Osano Platform is the best way to comply with privacy laws, and now you don’t have to just take our word for it! The Osano No Penalties Pledge: if you're using our platform and you receive a penalty or fine under a Privacy Regulation issued by a Data Protection Authority that is the result of our Platform, we will pay the fine or penalty, up to $200,000 USD.

Here are some important things to know about our No Penalties Pledge:

  • We only cover paying customers on our Enterprise plan in good standing and who have implemented all Osano products according to our documentation and any updates to the Osano platform. If you're using Osano for free, we won’t pay your fines or penalties.
  • Although you can configure Osano products per our documentation, if you make changes that we haven’t approved (changing the text, changing button size, hiding dialogs for certain visitors) or otherwise engage in any kind of changes that might be considered “dark patterns,” you’re on your own.
  • If you're contacted by a Data Protection Authority about a concern that involves the Osano platform, you must notify us right away and work with us to help resolve the issue ASAP.
  • When we notify you about an update, you need to implement it immediately.
  • It should probably go without saying, but just in case: If you get in trouble with a DPA for something that happened before you were a paying, fully implemented customer of Osano, then the Pledge doesn't apply.

P.S. Legal made us include this fine print: Additional terms apply and can be found in our Terms of Service, please read for more details.
